The Liger Project is located 23 kilometres east of the town of Lebowakgomo and immediately west and along strike of Anooraq / Anglo Platinum’s Lebowa Platinum Mine. The project comprises two separate but immediately adjacent prospecting rights covering the farms Leeuwkop 425KS and Tigerpoort 426KS. The prospecting right for Tigerpoort 426KS was granted in the year under review while that for Leeuwkop 425KS has been held for some time. As the prospecting rights have overlapping prospecting activities they are treated as a single project.

Leeuwkop and Tigerpoort (now Liger)

Exploration to date includes:

• field mapping;
• an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey;
• trench and grab sampling of historically sampled and prospective sites;
• the start of a reconnaissance drilling programme on the farm Leeuwkop 425KS, which has seen one hole completed to date, intersecting UG2 Reef.

Exploration in the coming year will focus primarily on the current drilling programme and an extension of that programme on to the farm Tigerpoort. Completion of reconnaissance drilling on the two farms is anticipated.
