PLATFIELDS, an emerging precious metals exploration and mining company, aimed to raise R450m in two phases in the short term to speed up its current exploration programme and initiate early, open-pit, cash-generative mining, said I-Net Bridge citing a companh presentation.
Platfields also confirmed its plans to list on the JSE's Main Board before end 2008, subject to prevailing market conditions and regulatory and other approvals.
A first phase capital raising via its listing on the JSE was expected to bring in R200m, while the second phase was seen as raising R250m.
