The Bushveld Foundation

Platfields is a patron of the Bushveld Foundation, which supports HIV/AIDS-affected orphans in the Bushveld Complex.

The Bushveld Foundation was founded in 2006 by Bernard Loriol, Chief Executive Officer of Best Asset Class AG, which is an investor in Platfields. To date, Platfields' contribution to the Foundation has totalled R2.5 million. For more information on the work of the foundation, please go to www.bushveldfoundation.org.

SOS Children’s Village

In a corporate social investment gesture indicative of Platfields’ commitment to assist under-privileged young people in the communities in which it conducts its business, Platfields and its CEO, Bongani Mbindwane, kicked off the New Year with substantial donations of foodstuffs and cash for schooling support to the SOS Children’s Village in KwaMagugu, near Nelspruit in South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province.
