James Motlatsi has been associated with the South African mining industry since 1970 and is a past president of the National Union of Mineworkers. He is executive chairman of TEBA Limited. Motlatsi was previously on the AngloGold Ashanti board from April 1998 and served as deputy chairman from May 2002. His qualifications include a Hon DSoc Sc from the University of Lesotho.
Bongani Mbindwane has over 12 years' experience in corporate management. Prior to joining Platfields in 2002, he was the managing director of Miya's Fisheries (Pty) Ltd., executive chairman of Seran Mining Engineering, co-founder and director of Ubambo Investments, United Nations Peace Desk field administrator, parliamentary administration director, member of the Western Cape Provincial Property Tender Committee and director of Environmental Cleansing Solid (Pty) Ltd. Mbindwane also sits on the boards of various mining companies and is a specialist in public affairs. His qualifications comprise a BA (Law) degree and an Environmental Management Diploma.
Seth Radebe is currently the managing director at Rebahale Inc., an audit, tax and advisory services firm. On 6 May 2011 Mr Seth Radebe CA (SA) was appointed to the Platfields board as an independent non-executive director. Seth previously held senior audit positions in both the public and private sectors including PKF (a leading international business advisory organization), Deloitte & Touche, the South African Revenue Services and the Auditor Generalís Office. Seth is a director of Africa Cellular Towers Limited and serves on the Municipal Demarcation Board.
Prior to joining Platfields, Annelise Cilliers was an audit partner and director of international audit firm, PKF. She was also former financial director at Venter Leisure and Commercial Trailers Ltd. Cilliers was closely involved in the compilation of Platfields' prospectus in 2003.
Dr Zuko Kubukeli holds a Ph.D in Human Biology. He currently serves as Executive Director of Pan-African Capital Holdings Proprietary Limited and has been appointed as a non-executive director of a number of listed and private companies.
Adv Heinrich Jansen van Rensburg holds a LLM (Labour Law) and a PG Dip Ė Commercial Law (Corporate Governance and Securities). Adv Jansen van Rensburg was admitted as a Member of the Cape Bar during 2008 and is primarily involved in commercial litigation and drafting of legal opinions. Adv Jansen van Rensburg is a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa.
Ms Debbie Ntombela is a partner at Eversheds Attorneys in Johannesburg, where she is head of the firmís mining sector. Prior to joining Eversheds Ms Ntombela was the Chief Director: Mineral Regulation and Administration at the Department of Minerals and Energy South Africa, where she was involved in drafting legislation in respect of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act and the Amendment Bill.
